The jokes continue. I’m not sure it gets any worse than being mocked by UK fans for breaking NCAA rules. That said, this is a pretty good use of photo shop. Credit this one to the creative kids over at the University of Kentucky’s fan message board Cats Pause for this one:
The cover should look [...]

Note to all walk-ons at Kentucky: Never smile or laugh when you’re losing. Or you’ll become like Dusty Mills.
According to Jerry Tipton of The Lexington Herald-Leader, last week ESPN cameras had a shot of Mills and freshman Morakinyo Williams smiling and/or laughing during the waning moments of UK’s 93-52 loss at Vanderbilt. Neither made the [...]

Remember what we wrote yesterday about the player we THOUGHT was FORMER Kentucky player Alex Legion? The one who’s mother thinks she’s a prophet, that she had no idea UK was a basketball haven until God told her so? Mom said on Friday he was transfering; Billy Gillispie got him to change it back, Legion plays [...]

Remember the Kentucky basketball recruit Alex Legion, the one who’s mother said she was a prophet?
”I had no clue Kentucky was a basketball school. No clue,” Annette Legion told the Lexington Herald-Leader. “But God knew.”
God just didn’t do good enough research: Monday UK coach Billy Gillispie announced Legion is transfering after just six games. A UK [...]

Apparently Gardner-Webb just won the national title. And possibly the powerball. And slept with every woman Tom Brady has.
Or something like that.
The Shelby Star reports Texas Tech coach was so impressed with Gardner-Webb’s 84-68 win at Kentucky he called to congratulate coach Rick Scruggs.
Oh, but if the story ended there.
If you caught ESPN’s Outside the [...]

Remember earlier in the week, when Ohio State lost an exhibition game to a D-II school?
Well, Kentucky just lost a REGULAR SEASON game to a hyphenated school. So much for that high-powered Coaches vs Cancer final four!
Somehow, some way, tiny little Gardner-Webb (erroneously referred to as a “mid-major” by ESPN in the game recap) [...]

Interesting article from Brett Dawson of The Louisville Courier-Journal on how the University of Kentucky, despite it’s hot streak and great football publicity, is doing next-to-nothing to promote quarterback Andre Woodson as a Heisman Trophy candidate.
“It’s been Coach Brooks’ belief that that’s something that’s earned on the field over the course of the season,” said [...]

Isn’t this when life begins: The start of college hoops season? Ah, pure sweetness … except for that place where they spilled Sweet’N Low all over the court. That was just a mess.
