This is almost purely speculative, but I’ve had three separate people email me about it, and it was just mentioned on Indianapolis sports talk radio, so here goes…
What I’m hearing is that the powers that be (who were meeting most of this afternoon/evening, according to the Bloomington Herald-Times) have decided to either suspend Sampson indefinitely [...]

So what’s about to happen?

Three separate rumors now indicate that Sampson’s been unofficially canned, and will be taken out officially sometime on Friday.
I’m still unconvinced.
The presence of Rick Greenspan, the IU athletic director, in yesterday’s press conference and in the press release that IU put out yesterday, indicates that he’s steering the ship to a certain degree.
