And Kelvin Sampson Has Broken My Heart.
Remember “The Simpsons” episode where Ralph gave Lisa the Valentine, Lisa told Ralph she didn’t “like, like him” and later Bart showed Lisa in slow motion where you could see Wiggum’s heart breaking frame by frame? This was how I felt yesterday when Indiana University released the major infractions they received [...]

I have watched and listened to the MLB Steroids Hearing on Capitol Hill today starring Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee. 99.99% of the time these hearing are long, drawn out and boring. While today’s hearings were long and drawn out for certain, it was the most entertaining thing I have heard/seen in quite some time. But let’s back up.

I think the important thing is that John Rocker is fully engaged. Or that he’s still alive and relevant enough to reveal in a Monday interview that Bud Selig and MLB Officials just might have turned a blind eye to a performance enhancing drug epidemic. Don’t believe all the happy marriage talk between former golf star Greg Norman and tennis great Chris Evert: It ain’t all that.
Here’s the story: For 18 years, Chris was married to Andy Mill, happy as can be, glad to always hang out with Andy’s best friend and that friend’s wife. The buddy’s name?
Greg Norman. And [...]
One of the major questions remaining from Kelvin Sampson’s most recent brush with NCAA law is how it will effect Indiana’s ability to recruit. We know that he has been slammed by the media, fans, and alumni alike. But if Sampson can find a way to continue his success on the court will the IU faithful back off [...]

Weeks go by and those plucky Philadelphia Flyers keep whacking people in the face. This time, Plattsburgh’s favorite son Jesse Boulerice has wandered onto Colin Campbell’s shit list for cross checking Vancouver’s Ryan Kesler. Boulerice, who faced charges of assault during his OHL days, will sit for 25 games and be eligible to return in [...]
It doesn’t come as surprise that former Olympic Gold Medalist Marion Jones has admitted to taking steroids. Her links to BALCO are well known and she once tested positive for EPO (although a back up sample was determined to be negative). Jones’ ex-boyfriend Tim Montgomery was banned from Track & Field competition for [...]
