The last, great college team representing USA basketball? The 1984 squad, coached by then-Indiana head man Bob Knight. This highlight is from an exhibition game with Knight’s squad against a Pat Riley-coached NBA All-Star team. On the collegiates? Michael Jordan, Sam Perkins, Steve Alford, Alvin Robertson and Chris Mullin.

Looks like a show right after Knight left Texas Tech earlier this year. Kind of made me laugh, although in my younger days I would’ve found it more humorous (btw, TNA, despite the double entendre, stands for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, a league competing with WWE).

Flashback: Bob Knight bitch slaps Louisville Mayor

Great stuff here: The 1987 celebration from Indiana’s national title. Louisville’s Mayor Jerry Abramson (who is still mayor) got a little cocky after the ‘86 Cards title and, well, Knight took him down a notch.
