And then there were none…

Multiple sources are now reporting that Indiana University sophomore-to-be Jordan Crawford will not be back in red and white for the upcoming season.

Crawford was the team’s lone remaining recruited scholarship player from this past season.

This leaves the 2008-09 version of the Hoosiers with a roster that consists of Kyle Taber, some freshmen, and that’s really it.

I saw an interesting question raised earlier today in response to this news. Has any major division I school ever lost ALL its scholarship basketball players in a single off-season? And no, Evansville doesn’t count, for obvious and morbid reasons.

I haven’t seen the final schedule yet, but this team could legitimately threaten to go 0-18 in conference. Even Northwestern’s roster isn’t this bereft of experience.

this is very sad… not only no returning scholarship players, but no returning coaches either. this is a whole new ball game and it’s not gonna be pretty.
