Stanley Cup Playoffs - Night 4

Detroit 4 - Nashville 2

Too much across the board from Detroit.  The Preds are hanging tough, but the talent gap is clear.  For the first time in a decade or so this is a Detroit team with balls, so the Preds don’t really have any weapons.  Also, Hasek was a big factor early.

Montreal 3 - Boston 2 OT

Crushing loss.  Down 2-0 Boston managed to get back into the game and by the width of the post made it to overtime.  It took a pretty nasty deflection to sink the B’s, which is a good sign heading back to Boston for Game 3.  They might steal one yet.  Also, Alexei Kovalev needs to chill.

Dallas 5 - Anaheim 2

Dallas has responded with poise to the aggressive Ducks.  Nightmare scenario for an Anaheim team that has struggled offensively as Dallas appears potent.  Todd Bertuzzi was awful in this game, a liability.  Brad Richards gives Dallas too much depth for the Ducks to make the kind of mistakes they’re making.
