Sure they knocked off two perennial Sweet 16 teams, but that’s not what I am talking about. No, I’m talking about Davidson’s 6″8″ Forward Boris Meno. You see during Davidson’s 74-70 victory over Georgetown I was impressed to learn that the Wildcat’s leading rebounder over the past two seasons, Boris Meno is majoring in French. While most athletes go the General Studies or Interdisciplinary Humanities route I was pleased to see a significant contributor on a top 25 basketball team pursuing a *gasp* degree that requires some effort in the classroom. And then I went to the Davidson Athletics website and learned that Boris Meno was born and raised in Paris, France. Congrats Davidson you have truly entered the elite of college basketball, providing a marginal education to gifted athletes so you can get your face time with Billy Packer. Who do you think you are, University of Michigan?

This is rediculous. Are you implying that English isn’t a valid major if your from the U.S.? Majoring in French doesn’t mean taking French 101…it means reading and analyzing French Lit. This is a worthy major for anyone.
