UK loses, crying fans give us more fun than game itself

Gotta love the Kentucky fans and their message board Cats Pause.

Nuggets from today? A deleted thread titled “We’re in deep-doo next year”, with the second post sarcastically reading:

“Thank You Tubby” (good lord, is EVERYTHING his fault?)

Then a thread asking if people are going to meet the team at the airport (for a 1st-round loss?!?!).

But our favorite? One titled “Ok, admit, who cried”,with these wonderous responses:

– I teared up a little. So proud of this team (Joe especially) despite everything.

Followed by this …

– No, I didn’t cry. I understand that you’re passionate about UK bball, dude. I am too. I really understand, but man up a little. There are way more important things in life than winning an NCAA tourney game against Marquette.

Oh, the teary-eyed UK fans won’t stand for that! Snap! The nasty responses after the jump!

— Ummmmmm, this is a BASKETBALL Board, dude………what do you expect??? And, obviously, you are not very “passionate” about UK basketball.

– First of all, real men can cry. Second of all, there are women on this board, too. I am one of them. And yes, I cried. But Joe made me do it…

But it gets better!

– So, I’m not passionate because I didn’t cry that we lost a first round game as an 11 seed? Geez…I’m really sorry. I cried when my grandmother died. I cried when my little girl was born. I will never cry over a basketball game that I have no personal control over.

Dog, you’re dead now!

— For those who are saying man up… tell that to the coach. Or maybe you’ve never been in that moment yourself. Not only did I feel like I grew with this team but I’ve been in the spot that Joe and Ramel were in today. They are not only going to cry tonight, they are going to Ball like babies, and thats perfectly ok.

This is why, above any others, Kentucky fans are the most obscene and entertaining fans in college hoops.

I wonder if that one fan ever followed through with his lawsuit against the SEC for them not allowing 15,000 people into a 9100 seat gym. Asshat…
