If you watched the Atlantic Ten tournament (and have no life like me) you probably sat up and said, “Wait, I’ve heard that voice before. While I was drinking beer. And eating crap food. And spewing obscenities. And …”… well, you get the picture.

Yes, the guy calling play-by-play for the A-10 tournament is Jonathan Coachman. Who is he, you ask? Oh, you are SO far outta the loop!

“The Coach” is part of WWE’s “Smackdown” announcing team, and has been with the organization for nearly a decade.His role on the shows have increased the last few years.

But when we researched him further, we were pleasantly surprised at his background: Jonathan worked at KMBC in Kansas City and anchored sports at KAKE in Wichita. So he hasn’t just stumbled into these jobs.

And he was the executive assistant to WWE general manager Lord Steven Regal. What other proof do you need the guy has paid his dues?
