Let’s start with the big rumor: According to The Big Lead, Sampson’s gone by Friday. One can only hope, but I have my doubts.

For what it’s worth, Cobra Brigade seems to be hearing the same thing. The guys over there really deserve a lot of props for being WAY ahead of this story, going all the way back to October. Go over and say hi if you haven’t been there yet.

ESPN’s Pat Forde says that at the very least, IU should suspend Sampson immediately.

The Chicago Sun-Times’ Greg Couch puts it this way: “Every day Sampson is at IU is another day without credibility.”
