Those of us who went to IU and covered sports know how controlling the school can be. So it should be no surprise when, at last night’s 68-66 loss to Wisconsin, this fan (who told The Bloomington Herald-Times his name was “Tucker”) was asked by an Assembly Hall official to change this shirt reading “Bring Back Bobby”:
We’d know if he actually changed it or not, save the fact the Herald-Times is the only paper in the country still charging subscription rates for it’s stories (come on guys: $17 for three months of your crappy little paper? Gimme a break).
Regardless, would it be too much to ask the IU freakazoids to get a life? He had no obscenity on the shirt, it wasn’t going to cause a riot, and by the looks of it, well, he’s not the brightest bulb in the lot.
Public Relations still isn’t IU’s strong suit
