Just a few short weeks ago my good friend Love Without Nagel and I exposed Tony Romo as the fraud that he is. You can read all about it here. Now in year two of the Romo experiment our boy Tony is too busy spending time in Mexico with his flousy of the week instead of preparing for a playoff game. The result? Romo completed just 18 passes for 201 yards, one td and one pick in a 21-17 loss to the rival Giants. That is a pretty medicore performance if you ask me. But to those who already know the truth about Tony Romo his performance comes as no surprise. Another playoff game another Cowboys loss. Hows the big contract looking about now Jerry Jones? Tony Romo is a fraud. So I ask the loyal reader of TMC: Who will the Cowboys lose to in the ‘09 playoffs?
Romo caught lightning in a bottle last year, much like Scott Mitchell did. As a result, idiots like Mike Greenberg fellate him as if he’s the second coming, so to speak, of Joe Montana, when he’s nothing more than an average QB with average talent. And far be it from me to defend the dumbest woman on the planet, but the sad thing here is that the person who will get the brunt of the blame and criticism is Ms. Simpson.
Eh, what other story is there to tell? You’ve got a couple of great QBs, a few good ones and then everybody else. If hearing about how Romo is developing, or how Eli has finally turned the corner or whatever will insulate me from the latest Peter King love letter to Peyton or Brady I’m all for it.
