With the Mitchell Report shaking the very foundations of American Society, certain Hall of Famer and all around good guy Roger Clemens has refuted claims that he had taken banned substances during his illustrious career.  Clemens had been tied to steroid use  during the 1998 season while with the Blue Jays and use of HGH as a Yankee during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.

This is clearly the first in what will be many solid, well-reasoned rebuttals of Mitchell’s Report.  A report that is so obviously a slip shod attempt to descredit one of the last true American Role Models, and in fact an attempt to derail the war on terror.  The fact that Clemens had the courage to stand up and proclaim his clear, undeniable innocence is refreshing in this age of cynicism and doubt.  I am sure that fans and the media alike will heed his plea to avoid rushing to judgement until all the facts can be properly discussed.

Hopefully, by that time, we will have finally figured out some way to throw that bastard cheater Barry Bonds in jail for good.
