Brent Musberger, in the waning moments of Oklahoma’s 38-17 win over Missouri in the Big 12 title game, mocking the perfectly coifed Kirk Herbstreit:
“You told me West Virginia beating Pittsburgh was a sure thing. Next thing you’ll tell me is Les Miles will be the next coach of Michigan”.
OOH! Take that, buckeye breath! (If you haven’t heard about Herby’s mistaken “Miles to Michigan” story, read this one on ESPN.com, one that never mentions Kirk was the one with the flawed stuff).
Anyone else realize there’s a Brent Musberger Rocky II doll? Here it is, in all it’s glory.
Can’t say I remember Musberger in the film, but that’s mainly because I don’t remember the film. Sigh.
I’ve never been a fan of Musberger and his switching horses mid-stream style of calling games, but this time, I’m on his side. If there is any one person that comes out looking like a complete tool this weekend, it’s Herbstreit. And you know what? It couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy..
