We suck at picking baseball series

Tim DonaghyLast week we brought you TMC’s “expert” picks for the 2007 MLB playoffs. Given how our staff (and especially myself) have performed in our selections, I wouldn’t blame you if you never read anything baseball-related here again. Yikes.

Here are the standings through the Divisional Series (an asterisk indicates that the writer’s World Series champion pick is still alive):

Zim: 3 for 4 (D’Backs, Red Sox, Indians)

Wes: 2 for 4 (D’Backs, Rockies)

*Kooder: 2 for 4 (Red Sox, Indians)

Hebrew Hammer: 2 for 4 (Red Sox, Indians)

*Scott: 2 for 4 (Red Sox, Indians)

Sean: 1 for 4 (D’Backs)

Love Without Nagel: 0 for 4

Thermocaster: 0 for 4

Scott (Indians) and Kooder (Red Sox) will apparently be dueling it out for supremacy from this point forward, although Zimmerman has a shot if the NL pennant winner comes away with the Series title.

Completely underestimated Vlady’s choke job in the postseason, Yankees mediocre starting pitching, and the Phils gas tank on empty. Who knew? Oy.

  2. 2 Thermocaster

Hey, at least you got one right. That counts for something, I guess…

How pumped up is FOX for that impending Diamondbacks-Indians World Series now???

  3. 3 Scott

Not a fan of the “WE sucked” title.
Shouldn’t it be”We (Except Scott, Kooder & Zim) Sucked”?

  4. 4 Thermocaster

I thought this was a team? Win or lose, we play the game together? :)
